i know there's no freedom in a culture without books. but it seems to me, like, if words lost meanings, they got thrashed until they became cliche, that eventually a new word would be found, a new way to communicate meaning and truth. and there would be some caught living a pop song life full of words like "happy" and "image" that have become so bandied about they're meaningless. are they slaves to that perfect life? is that where the freedom is lost?

oh and hahahaa i love your title.

i guess that's why i love poetry, and music so much, it's stepping back into meaning and past all the cliches of meaninglessness.
