What would you do with a pencil, notebook, Bible and a whole day in front of you?

The book or the music in which we thought the beauty was located will betray us if we trust to them. . . For they are not the thing itself; they are only the scent of a flower we have not found, the echo of a tune we have not heard, news from a country we have never visited.

I get how they are related!! This is an amazing quote, Lucy. So so so true, it's like this concept is stalking me lately. It's hard to get your head around, kind of.

I'm not sure who the original author is for the quote, but I really liked it.
