Native missionary

Well, native missionary. I'm finally posting, something I should've done like 5 days ago. Anyway, here's what Mom and I came up with:

Do you peoples have PayPal? Because Mom said that would be the easiest way to get all of the money to one person, who can then send it all together to GFA. Otherwise, we'll have to work out some way of getting five checks together, then into one check, which will have to be snail-mailed. I'm pretty sure PayPal's free, you just need an account. Anyway, that would probably be the best way, and I'm open for more suggestions too.

Another thing: Do we want to pick our own native missionary from their database of online biographies of missionaries (which might be neat because we might feel more "connected" to our missionary if we choose him ourselves), or do we want to take whatever one they assign to us (which might be easier because we wouldn't all have to get together in one place and agree)? Either way is fine with me, I'd like your input.

They send us a packet with info about our missionary right after we start sponsering. Perhaps the person who gets this could make photocopies or something (depending on what's included) to send to the other four people so we all have it? I think we could do the same thing with the occasional updates we'll recieve.

GFA has a quarterly magazine about the mission field in Asia and what they're doing there, and this is just a side note but I certainly recommend that you sign up for it (it's free) on their website. They have an archive online of their past issues if you'd like to look, it's called SEND!

The last thing: We need to pick one person to send all the money to (preferably an organized person, though I think we're all fairly organized) who will then send it all to GFA each month, and make sure that it gets there safely every month.

Ok, let me know your thoughts on all this, and I'm certainly open for more ideas/input if you guys think of something else!
